Our purchasing staff are always looking for products that are the best of the best. They visit specialist trade fairs, follow up on insider tips and are hot on the trail of exceptional new products.

While our wine buyers are on the lookout for excellent vintners, others end up in Brittany in search of oyster beds, or in the tea gardens of Darjeeling. At the same time, our coffee experts travel to the highlands of Papua New Guinea to track down rare beans.

Living tradition

 

Even today, the coffee in our Munich delicatessen is served from precious Nymphenburg porcelain vases and weighed using antique beam balances – a tradition that is also upheld in the neighbouring tea department. Every section of the shop has its own particular charm and tells its own unique story.

From generation to generation, our team of experts and professionals pass on their experience: their instinct for recognising quality, and for discovering and keeping hold of that special something that defines every Dallmayr product. And for coffee, they pass on their ability to blend the various flavours of the Dallmayr range and the professional roasting techniques that make drinking Dallmayr coffee the height of enjoyment.

The best aroma

Some 80 years ago, our first coffee expert and co-owner of Dallmayr, Konrad Werner Wille, carried out experiment after experiment on the roasting machine until he was completely satisfied with the results.
