Tea gourmets consider Darjeeling to be one of the finest teas in the world. The best leaves grow at altitudes of up to 2,300 metres in the sun-kissed tea gardens on the mountainsides of the Himalayas. The first-flush harvest, which lasts just a few weeks, begins in the middle of March. The exquisite leaves harvested here are characterised by their especially delicate floral aroma, and are coveted by tea lovers all over the world. They are available in a pure, unmixed form as Grand Cru tea, For this reason, the taste may vary slightly from year to year.

Preparation

Pour fresh, boiling water over one heaped teaspoon of tea for each cup.

Storage
